Library Services does not provide textbooks and cannot request textbooks through interlibrary loan. Most libraries cannot purchase textbooks from publishers, and those who do cannot lend them for a whole semester.

Textbooks should be purchased from the Springfield College bookstore or another bookstore. In some cases, you may be able to buy your books used or even rent your textbooks instead of buying them at full-price.

Most bookstores will be able to order your new books for you. If you decide to look for a used book, make sure to get the right edition. Sometimes you may be able to use an older edition of your textbook, but you should check with your professor and make sure the edition you choose is acceptable before you buy it.

Additionally, faculty sometimes put personal copies of textbooks on short-term loan at the Information Desk via Course Reserve for students at the Springfield, MA campus to check out.
