There are several different categories of borrowers, including some groups from outside Springfield College. To find out for sure whether you qualify to borrow, please visit our Borrowing Policy page

All current Springfield College students, faculty, and staff may borrow materials from the Library. In-person borrowers must present a current, valid Springfield College ID card.

Students in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies at regional campuses may also check out materials from the Library via the Interlibrary Loan form. Please see our Interlibrary Loan page for more information.

In addition, the following groups of people and academic institutions may borrow materials from the Library after completing a brief registration process:

Students attending eligible area universities and colleges (requires valid university/college ID)

  • American International College

  • Bay Path College

  • Elms College

  • Holyoke Community College

  • Springfield Technical Community College

  • Western New England University

  • Westfield State University

Other eligible guest borrowers:

  • Holders of a current, valid Springfield City Library card

  • Supervising Practitioners

  • Springfield College Learning in Later Life members

  • Residents of Reeds Landing

  • Springfield College alumni/ae

  • Retired Springfield College employees - faculty and staff
